When
developing a web site there are several phases of
development which are adhered to closely. These phases
collectively are known as the "life cycle".
The process begins when a client gets in contact with
us about a web site.

Phase
1. Requirements Analysis.
After
a client has contacted us, we set a meeting date with
the client to determine the full scope of requirements
that a client wants from their web site. We gather
all the required information and then set about structuring
the requirements in detail. We gather documents and
logos etc. that will be used in creating the web site.
This allows us to continue to the next phase of the
development.
Phase 2. Design.
From the detailed requirements,
our web designers start designing the web site. This
entails creating the functionality of the site i.e.
how the pages display the information to the user.
In the case of dynamic pages, how the user will interact
with the web pages to display the information they
require that is contained in a database. To the look-and-feel
of the web site and the pages that are presenting
the data to the users. On completion of design we
then develop the first demo site.
Phase 3. Implementation.
After the completion
of the design, our web designers create the graphics
and start 'coding' the web site. When the coding is
finished the web site is put up onto a demonstration
site of ours. We then get in touch with the client
and review the demo site with them. Clients then make
decisions on changes to information and design. Our
web designers then implement these changes and contact
the client for approval. Once the client is happy
and gives the go ahead the development is taken to
the next phase.
Phase 4. Testing.
Our designers do comprehensive
site testing to ensure that the web site is working
as it should be. Once we are satisfied that this has
been accomplished we will transfer the web site to
the clients domain name on our web servers.
Phase 5. Delivery.
After transfer of the
site to the new domain is complete, all relevant functions
such as e-mail contact forms, shopping carts etc are
setup. Extensive search engine optimization and placement
is done, the client is then contacted and informed
that their new site is 'live', up on the web for viewing.
Phase 6. Maintenance.
(Optional).
For a small fee we can
'manage' your site and keep your site up-to-date,
thus keeping your customers up-to-date. This entails
the addition or removal of information from your web
site or expansion of the site to include member areas
or shopping carts etc.
Below is a graphical
representation of the framework.
